Wedding Photo of the Day

This is my image of the day.

Here we can see Kay in a beautiful gown from Louise Perry Bridal on a recent bridal shoot. When I photograph a bride I will more often than not be attempting to catch those moments where she is looking at a family member, her new husband or even staring into space contemplating her future. These are wonderful shots and full of meaning. However, I really enjoy shots like the one you see above where the bride is looking straight down the lens. When you catch a sharp shot of their eyes with the rest of the face fading off slowly out of focus you can feel the connection between the bride and the person looking at the photo. If the eyes truly are the gateway to the soul then this is the nearest we can get to capturing the emotions and thoughts of their soul at that moment in time.
