In June I had the absolute pleasure of photographing Emelie and Viktor's big day. This lovely couple are originally from Sweden but have spent quite a bit of their life together in Yorkshire. The day that they designed brought these two cultures together beautifully. A large number of their guests came over from Sweden fro the big day, so Emelie and Viktor wanted to show them the best that Yorkshire had to offer. They chose Denton Hall to stage their wedding. This magnificent stately home is set in some of the most picturesque scenery Yorkshire has to offer... Where better to bring your Swedish relatives to show off Yorkshire. On top of this the couple had also chosen some delicious macarons from Betty's as their wedding favours.

Emelie got ready in the bridal suit at Denton Hall, with her make up and hair being done by the extremely talented Kimberly Brook. Emelie looked stunning in her David Tutera wedding dress from Wedding Belles & Beaus in York and her bouquet from Serendipity Floral Designs complimented her look beautifully.

In front of their family and friends Emelie and Viktor said their vows and made their promises to each other in St Helen's Church, which sits just outside the gates to Denton Hall. The celebrations then continued in the glorious sunshine outside Denton Hall before everyone sat down to dinner and a collection of heartfelt and emotional speeches. The catering was supplied by Box Tree Events. The food looked amazing and tasted even better!

The couple enjoyed a wonderfully choreographed first dance before The Honky Tonk Hardies got the guests on the dance floor and raised the roof with their energetic performance.

I whisked Emelie and Viktor away for a short sunset portrait session. They took a little bit of time together and walked through the fields talking through the wonderful day they had just experienced. Whilst they did this I captured some beautiful bridal portraits that I hope they will cherish forever.
